You get to your apartment after several months away, put the key in and the cylinder feels stiff, turning neither one way nor the other. Or you have gone down to the beach on a winter Sunday and the entrance hall door has shut with your bunch of keys inside. In Algarrobo, emergencies make no distinction between residents and seasonal owners, and they tend to appear when you least expect them. Message us on WhatsApp with your address and our locksmiths will reply at any hour.
Algarrobo is a small municipality with two very distinct faces. Three kilometres inland and some eighty metres above the sea is Algarrobo Pueblo, a white village of flower-filled lanes, the church of Santa Ana and a river running through it. Down on the coast, Algarrobo Costa, a former fishing hamlet, is now a cluster of apartment blocks facing a long beach, with urbanisations such as Pueblo Bahía, Pueblo Nuevo and Río Algarrobo. On either side are Mezquitilla, which shares territory with Vélez-Málaga, with its boats drawn up on the sand, and Trayamar, famous for its Phoenician necropolis.
Between the village house, the beach apartment and the country house there is a big difference in locks and in use: some are opened every day, others only in summer. Tell us which settlement you are in, the type of door and, if you can, send us a photo. Our locksmiths bring the right spare part or tool.
