You get home at night, the key spins without catching or has been left inside, and the door will not give. In Cártama, a municipality spread across several settlements about seventeen kilometres from Málaga, that scene can happen in a street of the old town, next to the station or on a track in the valley. Message us on WhatsApp with your location and our locksmiths will reply at any hour, in the early hours and on public holidays too.
Cártama is not a single village but a sum of settlements, each with its own character. Cártama Pueblo is the old town, in the shadow of the ruins of the Moorish castle and the chapel of Nuestra Señora de los Remedios. Estación de Cártama grew up around the railway station, opened in 1865, and today, together with the old town, it is one of the two main settlements. In the middle of the Guadalhorce valley lies El Sexmo, and scattered across the municipality are Doña Ana, the Sierra de Gibralgalia, Loma de Cuenca, Nueva Aljaima and Las Tres Leguas. Between them stretch the citrus groves that make the municipality famous.
So many settlements mean the address needs fine-tuning. The street name is not always enough when several areas have similar names, so tell us which settlement you are in and add a simple landmark: a junction, a warehouse, a bus stop or the best-known orange grove in the area. With that detail our locksmiths locate the door and know whether it is an entrance hall, a house with a plot or a shop unit.
